The Wooburn Festival Visual Arts Exhibition is at the heart of the Wooburn Festival.  St. Paul’s Church Hall in Wooburn Green is converted into a professional and vibrant art gallery showing original paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass and jewellery from the best artists in Buckinghamshire and beyond.

Last year our featured artist was the well-known painter Julian Bray.

Julian Bray’s work is characterized by strong architectural draughtsmanship. His intense drawing ability, and the subtle and dramatic use of colour, provides the framework for his paintings.

Julian’s interest lies in the development of new ways of representing the world and he uses transparent and opaque media to imbue his architectural landscapes with energy and form. His use of colour spans the illustrative to the surreal.

His work includes portraiture and landscape. He has an innate ability to move easily between media, working with the same facility in oils, acrylic, watercolour and multimedia. His paintings range from semi- abstracted architecture rich in texture and colour, to atmospheric realism concerned with the fall of light and shade.
