Elgar’s The Kingdom has been choosen for the autumn Come and Sing day.  The works chosen for this event are always challenging but achievable to a satisfying level in a day's study.  Every Wooburn Singers' Come & Sing Day is a great opportunity to spend a day focused on a major work under the baton of the musical director Tom Hammond-Davies, and are always much enjoyed.  The day concludes with a mini-performance for friends and family.  Soloists are usually invited to sing for both the rehearsal and the performance.

Wooburn Singers

The Wooburn Singers were founded more than 50 years ago by the late Richard Hickox.  The group performs 4-6 concerts a year in the area with concert tours every other year. The group of  auditioned singers perform a variety of musical genres.  Some concerts are a capella and others are accompanied by baroque orchestras, harps, and on occasion a jazz trio.
