Clive Fairbairn has been Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the New Mozart Orchestra since it was founded in 1977. He has achieved much acclaim as a conductor of orchestras, choirs and opera in the UK and internationally, including performances with the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic and the Philharmonia. He was Principal Conductor of South Africa's first multicultural arts organisation of the post-apartheid era, the National Chamber Orchestra of SA. Clive has a strong connection with music education and a passion for involving children in live professional orchestral music. He has directed more than 150 performances in UK schools, directed workshops and conducted several youth orchestras including Bucks County Youth Orchestra..
The New Mozart Orchestra is London-based freelance orchestra formed in 1977, with a Residency in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire since 2015.
The musicians all have extensive experience both as orchestral players/soloists and in outreach/leadership activities.
